Energy Websites I Love (Part 4)

Todays winner comes straight from the KISS playbook, being; Keep It Simple Stupid.

I've always been a little unsure about this expression, mostly because it somehow knows that I'm stupid without ever making my acquaintance.  Maybe it's just looked at my blog?

Anyway, todays winner is Power Play Energy Consultancy:

And that, the screenshot, is all you need to know about Powerplay - that is all you get.

Simplistic, straight to the point and straight from the couldn't give a rats arse category.

Hats off to you.

Energy Websites I love (Part 3)

Todays entrant is a triple winner; taking out prizes in the overall design, overall content and 'not give a shit' categories.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you WATTPOWER

WATTPOWER is a throw-back to a happier time when people weren't really sure about what to do with websites, or what to put on them.  For most, that time was 1994, but not for Jeff.
Jeffs lack on interest in all things marketing and digital (the explanation on how to email him is wonderfully simple) can really only be matched by his steadfast dedication to rockabilly hair styles and the best shirts ever made.

To his credit, Jeff makes it very clear about we he (or they?) do.

In all, full marks to Jeff for being Jeff and no-one else.

Energy Websites I love (part 2)

Todays entrant comes from the 1990s, EASTCOAST ENERGY CONSULTANCY (all caps).

There is not a lot not to like about this website, partcularly the very 90s feel of the design and that it is almost led by function, rather than the other way around.  I'm guessing Spock would agree.

One of the things I particularly like is the logo, which looks like an aerial shot of Homer Simpsons head:

The two slogans (or perhaps one is a mission statement) is also pretty unique and having one written entirely in lower case really offsets the title, which is all caps.

This is certainly no-frills and potential and existing customers would have to take comfort that any margins made certainly aren't being spent on unnecessary things like Marketing, or even purchasing your own Domain name:

Energy Websites I love (Part 1)

I've been "working" in the Energy industry for some time now and it always interests me how different companies present themselves to the world, particularly through the medium of the internets.

As such, I'm going to start sharing my appreciation for some of these publications, starting with Iconic Energy, which I am also referring to as "Palms to the ceiling"

I also love that they support Bowling too.  I'm not sure in what context, but they're as into it as they are parcel delivery and Pizza:
